A new text encodings library, iconv-nano, was posted in the @e18e.dev discord. A day later, the author (Jeremy) is collaborating with @hyeseong.kim on making it ~80% smaller! 🤯 Always impressed by how e18e has managed to join up people with knowledge in such niche subjects 😄

Hey, would you be interested in contributing to iconv-lite? I’d be happy to welcome more people to help make the package smaller, faster, etc. I haven’t had much time lately, but instead of getting people to migrate to a new package, why not bring those improvements upstream so everyone benefits?

always! i was mostly just following along with the development as an interesting project. maybe we can get a discussion started in the e18e discord to see how we can contribute some of the ideas into iconv-lite, that would be great
