Ansible Uplink is a bi-weekly podcast where I invite a different indie ttrpg creator on to review a sci-fi adventure module. As mentioned on the show (but never on bsky), if folks have questions about sci-fi roleplaying or adventure design, you can drop them here for the show, :)

Great podcast! I only discovered Mothership this year, and I'm hooked! The podcast's theme music is evocative. What is it? How did you choose it?

Thanks!! The theme was composed by my pal @davidblandyrpgs.bsky.social who wrote ECOMOFOS!! I sent him a few clips as inspo, and he did the rest, :)

Loved making this. Weird sci-fi is such a mood

It's just excellent! Five stars! So appropriate—does it exist as a whole track, or is the 30 seconds or so we hear the whole thing? It reminds me of the same indirect, non-obvious selection of "Journey of the Sorcerer" as the theme to Hitchhikers Guide.

I made it for the podcast, so it’s just that 30 seconds, but my first version was more like 2 minutes with a bit more buildup. I could make that public I guess
