e/OS also seemingly paid people to produce misleading research about it: www.scss.tcd.ie/Doug.Leith/A... This "study" compares /e/OS without Google Apps with LineageOS with Google Apps and comes to the conclusion that /e/OS connects less to Google than LineageOS.
