They'll just put AI in the product without telling people then...

GOOD. The "AI in appliances" is crap no one asked for that does basically nothing for you other than increasing the cost.

Interesting that the headline is like "don't promote it" rather than just "don't put ai in your products" ....

Also:

Our high-end fridge when we had to replace it came with a wireless connection, one of the first ones. It wasn’t installed when they delivered it and we were never tempted to connect it. They all come pre-installed now and prompt you for your network’s passcode.

Just to follow up today we got a new microwave that is basically identical to our old one, so good to know that was an option

1) Does it have a spinning plate? 2) Does it have an Add 30 button? Thats all you need

They should be required to disclose if there’s “Ai” and how that is being used to the consumer in a more than fine print fashion. Like health labels on cigarettes but more so.

Boycott AI.

Plenty of people are? The generic person who believes everything they hear is mostly imagined by the people who want to be the ones telling everyone else what to do.

Oh I’m totally less likely to buy an AI enabled product. And I use AI at work… Just don’t need the thing “learning” from me. I already have enough of that shit.
