NEW: We're urging the California Civil Rights Department to investigate Criteria Corporation, which develops technology that companies use to make hiring decisions. This tech must not be allowed to discriminate against applicants based on their disability, race, and sex.

When I was hiring (white collar) in CA, HR wouldn't even let us pull up candidate's LinkedIn profiles for fear of bias, sun- or regular-liminal. But I guess when a company invented automated filtering technology, that's wasn't an issue. Because we all know how well tech represents minorities.
