Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?

Tragic. Life in prison is punishment. The death penalty is evil. I understand heinous crimes no parole because practice what you preach. You are Christian or you're not pick one 💯🌍 if you believe in God act like it

Getting rid of the death penalty is not a LIBERAL concept. It is a moral concept. All the effort that goes into "the death penalty" makes me think about all those prosecutors who thrive "by winning," and all those "defenders on low salaries" and all the classist, racist, BS in courtrooms!

We have empowered the state to end the life of another. It kills a human, no longer a threat, in our name. Time to reclaim our humanity. Time to reclaim governance. Time to end the death penalty.

Whether or not an individual deserves the death penalty is one issue. But in the US the death penalty is expensive and unjust. It is also disproportionately applied to the poor and people of color. The quality of lawyers you have impacts whether or not you get the death penalty.

I hear you. I used to oppose capital punishment. Trump turned me around. I think we need to follow a program like the Allies after WWII: Determine the guilty and kill them. Let it be a lesson. I wish I felt otherwise, but I see no alternative.

I wonder how could be considerated more humanitarian a life sentence in isolation cell. That's a permanent, endless torture; it's inhumane. The argument that DP doesn't tackle crime is void: the same occurs to life sentence; actually, any sentence. Some murderers deserve DP: as simple as that.
