Destroying upstream prevention is how you keep on being able to claim credit for "solving" problems you made happen in the first place. We need to get better at SELLING prevention SUCCESS. Fast. Would help if we were going upstream of the GOP. Rallying voters around kids' futures. #BetterDems

These pharmaceutical companies need to think about relocating out of the U.S. And the developed nations need to invest in the transition. It would be a win/win for every country but the U.S.

Dec of 2020 and Jan of 2021 the US death from Covid were around 200,000 in that 8 week period under Trump before vaccines came out . We had freezer trucks loading bodies at hospitals . Go look at the Covid dash board . You will see I am right . You really want to do that again ?

The really sad part is that mRNA vaccines are a game-changer. They can develop new mRNA flu vaccines very quickly and ramp up production rather than trying to predict flu strains a year or more in advance and ramp up with lots of eggs. Sadly, we're stuck with the toilet-seat coke-snorter RFK.

Europe is partially to blame for this. If they did not expect the US to subsidize their regulated minuscule costs for these drugs these companies would not have to rely on us to make their profits.

US has like 4% of world population, vaccines will be developed and deployed, just not in US. Huge problem if vaccines are not even entered into front of system because shit hits fan you know trump will demand immediate deployment if vaccine that hasn't even started approval process.

I would need to find a source, but the issue is that some pharmaceutical companies won't invest in developing expensive, new vaccines if there's no chance in getting U.S. approval. The U.S. population isn't the biggest factor — it's how much the U.S. pays for health care.
