Abdul El-Sayed just said the quiet part out loud about how to take on Donald Trump: Build an uncomfortably large coalition to defeat him. The coalition is the Republicans, independents, and Democrats who agree the country shouldn’t be run by a man who tried to overturn an election. (link below)

Jamel Bouie recently summarized in a similar way the coalition that ended slavery which included people with all kinds of conflicting agendas broadly speaking, but they all agreed on this one thing.

"Uncomfortable" doesn't mean "unwilling to vote for". The better we get to know the progressive candidates & leaders, & see their actions and results, the more likely they'll win the votes of the pragmatic liberals & the non-extremes from both end of the party's spectrum. El-Sayed is winning this.

You mean vote like Canadians? 🤔 In the 1993 Canadian federal election, the majority Progressive Conservative Party got 𝘸𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 leaving them only 𝘵𝘸𝘰 seats in Parliament! Why did we throw the bums out? The Free Trade Agreement they passed! It was law so it couldn't be changed but we got that right!

It took 33 years for free trade with America to fall apart but our #1 argument back then was what if America, with its 10x economy, reneged on the deal? It'd hurt Canada more than America, right? As it turns out, we were 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 about that! Canada is 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘺 finding new partners to trade with overseas!

A friend was talking to a company owner who said that not only were they finding new clients but when the their contracts with American clients ended, there'd be no more new ones. And since parts companies are used to retooling often they're retooling for new customers instead just a new model year.

Also, Canada has had tariffs between Provinces to protect regional industries since Canada's founding... but not for much longer! Many of those Provincial tariffs have been dropped and others are being negotiated. After 150+ years, America helped us do something that we couldn't do for ourselves. 🙇

You've been saying that for awhile now. A lot of the far Left though see moderate Democrats as the enemy and 'Republican lite', so it might have to fall on Moderates and Independents who do outnumber the fringes on both sides by a lot.
