It is like a job. The truth comes out when you are going to leave. Otherwise, you are at risk of losing your job if you fight back. Many Republicans warned of how bad Trump was during the 2016 primaries. Once he was elected, they all knew that they had to fall in line or voters would vote them out.

Once Trump will have finished the only thing that will remain in the US constitution will be the 2nd and 5th amendment, everything else will have been wiped out. For sure the 5th will always remain since criminals like Trump need it.
