Trump is the parasocial president. Other politicians have supporters while Trump has a cult. MAGA are so deeply personally invested in Trump it's like they're in love. And they have the same blind spots to his many profound faults that falling in love can cause. "You don't know him like I do."

That is some massive cognitive dissonance going on under that red hat.

MAGA cult followers cannot be reasoned or change their minds about Trump. Their friends and inner circle are all MAGA, so not voting Republican is seen as betraying these people. This is the 30-35% lost Americans. Time is better spent on Independents and old-school GOP’ers (non MAGA) to vote D.

Pedophiles are not amazing people. Traitors are not amazing people… 34 time felons are not amazing people…. DRAFT DODGERS,,,,, are NOT,, amazing people…. Etc. Etc.Etc……
