From welcoming students back to putting thousands of books into young readers’ hands, AFT members are starting the school year by showing up for their students and communities. This week’s #PublicSchoolProud stories are all about making the year ahead a little brighter.

In New York City, @uft.org members at PS/MS 278 kicked off the new school year with AFT President @rweingarten.bsky.social, who thanked educators for keeping students grounded, giving them hope and helping them navigate a rapidly changing world. #PublicSchoolProud 🍎 bsky.app/profile/aft....
