Good morning from McAllen, TX! We’re excited to join educators and students at the McAllen Flight Academy, where the next generation of pilots are learning to take flight. ✈️

The students in this room are preparing to take their pilot licensing test to be FAA certified, which the school district is funding. Students like Ramiro want people to know that great CTE opportunities are available for folks in McAllen, and he wants to see more programs like this one.

The school not only trains students to be pilots but also drone pilots and instructors themselves. They’re also training students on new planes with safety features. Many students are on path to start jobs as soon as junior year. Thanks to McAllen’s students for showing us the equipment!
