🙆‍♂️ - Thought provoking. Great for sparking professional curiosity - Meet & chat with industry titans - 3rd place for broad socialising 🙅‍♂️ - Eye-watering ticket prices - Tutorial workshops that end up being glorified presentations - High profile names listed as keynotes and attending virtually

Anything over £200, tbh. React summit is ~£700 this year (early bird)! Glastonbury is something like £350 for an entire weekend. That’s apples and oranges to a degree, but still… My guess is that tickets are priced in on the assumption that most attendees have access to some form of L&D budget.

I’d agree with the price point, though I guess it also depends on the location! I’ve even seen some conf tickets that are over 1K and cannot fathom where the money is going since the quality matches conferences in less than half that budget.

I’d like to think an accessible price point considers getting your ticket, hotel and flights in around 1K EUR, which is still pricey for many. However, even at the higher price points, most conf organizers I talked to this year are running at a loss. Really appreciate the input 😊
