In January, Hello Darkness #29 kicks off "The Haunt Without: A Vic Hammond Mystery," a 3-part story by me and @neogi.bsky.social starring a character we co-created: Vic Hammond, PI…that is to say, Victory Hammond (a Nigerian/Ghanaian British woman living in New York City), Paranormal Investigator
This is sincere…I started writing Vic Hammond like any other character, then something magic happened and it was out of my hands. She came alive like no one I've written before. Then Devaki drew her, and that's it, she's a real person now. I love her. Cannot WAIT to see Vic Hammond out in the world!
