Try the thought experiment of profiling other industries: "Our tobacco companies provide jobs and our customers love us and we need billions of investment to compete" without context.

It's not an industry profile. It's reporting from inside a specific company. The skeptics are not inside the company for obvious reasons. You choose what companies you invest in. If you think a specific company is a bad investment, then don't invest it in. I don't invest in tobacco companies.
