Al Jazeera has no standing to talk about "Free speech" as a tool of the Qatar government. It's similar to being a "journalist" in Gaza where you can report anything as long as it meets Hamas' approval (or else). Or in Russia, where failure to toe the party line can lead to defenestration.

I highly doubt any university would allow pro genocide speaker. I’m not sure I understand about sides here. North Gaza is being depopulated, and reported as such in Israeli newspapers. I think we tried many years of communicating but the media and AIPAC filters it out.

This is not the first time we are witnessing something of this sort. Faculty and students were subjected to censorship, ostracization, and expulsion during the 'Red Scare.' Critical thinking and freedom of speech were promoted only as long as the interests of capital were preserved.
