This is a tragedy full stop. But AJE is for an English-speaking audience, right? And nowhere in the English-speaking world can you be a working doctor and mom to >9 children, so some explanation is needed.

Doctors have sex too! And I imagine access to birth control maybe limited in Gaza? Also they may have adopted some, given they may have friends or family who have died? I don’t understand why you can’t see how they could end up with 10 kids!
