OG is better if you’re not familiar with the games yet, switch remake adds some stuff that kinda fundamentally changes the gameplay in some aspects. Thoughhh it does have a couple of neat QOL things that the original doesnt

I liked it, but it's very much just the DS one with much better graphics

If you have NSO I think the OG is in the GBA games collection, and the remake doesn’t really do anything besides look modern and let you pick your character if you don’t like the quiz outcome. That said, I enjoyed playing the remake when it came out, & wish Nintendo did more with MD
