god i hope kids these days dig through plasts of culture before them like i did in my teens, i hope they have experiences like hearing Led Zeppelin for the first time, or watching an Errol Flynn movie, or reading a Somerset Moem novel. I hope kids 100 years from now do the same

It's not the worst thing; I was a rave DJ for a good decade or so and right when I was getting the most tired/bored with music, Spotify suggestions put me onto mathcore and industrial techno. People tire of what's immediately around/provided to them and seek out other experiences, just need time.
