Removing motor traffic from city centre streets creates places where people linger, relax, dine and enjoy being outside. Places where families can safely ride their bikes, people of all ages can get safely around, and where streets are dominated by people, not cars.

London would be the envy of the world if it had the dutch level of cycle provision. It's so coherent and easy to use that it's a no brainier. The flatness helps but the wind replaces the hills .
