Putin has never said that he will agree to a peace agreement if he gets the rest of Donbas. What Putin has said is that if Ukraine gives him he get the rest of Donbas, then he will be willing to begin negotiations about the rest of Russia's conditions for peace.

Rubio has lost his mind: The war in Ukraine is about one region, Donetsk. russia occupies all but about 11% of it.

The guy only looks sensible and intelligent when you stand him next to other members of the regime. Otherwise it’s obvious he’s a dick

He’s been so poisoned by trumpism that he might actually believe that there’s a WW2 Finnish-type solution here (big chunks of land, and population evacuation, for peace). But Putin views Ukrainians as wayward Russians and will always insist that Ukraine either be a puppet or get invaded.

Trump is holding back air defense missiles the Europeans PAID for, and he has slowed down Starlink Europeans PAY for, we need to find a way to threaten Trump+Elon or we will have a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine, and it is time for the Skyshield, there is no other way bsky.app/profile/popo...

Europe needs to consider a No Fly Zone over Ukraine this winter. The chances of russia accepting it and focusing on the frontline are higher than the danger of it picking a fight w NATO. Not doing it out of fear means Ru sabotage and strikes on Europe will keep escalating because russia smells fear.

"Give me something so I start talking!" ... "Oh, no! The talks have failed! How unfortunate, no one could have predicted this, and the other side is responsible! But I'll keep what I've been given." Repeat. 🥱

All Russian peace proposals always include conditions ensuring that Ukraine is put into a situation where it will be unable to resist once Russia inevitably breaks the peace treaty. E.g. no alliances, and giving up the most defensive territory. Russia does not want peace and has never wanted peace.
