The U.S. spent $11B in the first week of the Iran War and have spent many times that in weeks since, dwarfing the subsidy China has given solar panels. This war is all about oil and is another example of how our entire society is effectively built around enormous subsidies for fossil fuels. 🔌💡

The $18 billion spent on subsidies for solar manufacturing by China since 2000 is half of what the US has spent on subsidies for oil every year since 2000. There is no starker illustration of how badly US industrial & energy policy has been bungled. #EnergySky #ClimateSky #GreenSky #EconSky

#PredatorCulture is an addiction, a self-destructive urge to blow things up. We're infinite thinkers on a finite planet. We have a relationship with reality. #Enlightenment culture LOVES reality enough to save life, and consciousness, and peace, and humanity from mindless consumption. #BetterDems

I have honestly pointed out to the staff that my representative's office that we could have invested in in solar manufacturing in several States and done it safely for less money than we've spent in Iran. Also for what we've spent on concentration camps we could have housed our veterans.

“This war is all about oil…” I don’t disagree but it confuses me because they have done a brilliant job of helping with the transition to EVs, solar, wind, and batteries.
