I suggested that retired people should not get to skip property taxes to some liberal friends and it was like I said I was anti-abortion lol (I'm exaggerating but there's a very perverse inverse means testing thing going on with letting special groups forgo paying taxes)

Bluesky today reminding me that there are a lot of homeowners out there who consider themselves diehard progressives but will turn into Grover Norquist the second you suggest that taxing the wealth held in their homes is fine and good.
