The Valkyries go to the line a lot less frequently because they’re a team that takes a ton of jump shots, which inevitably has led to discourse about free throw differentials throughout the series, but I think the zebras have called it fairly. They’re never gonna be perfect, but they’ve been fine.

Their worst moment tonight was the missed foul that Smesko couldn’t challenge bc he had wasted it moments earlier, and that foul was much more evident on replay than at full speed. Angel didn’t get to the line much tonight bc she was playing tentatively and looked like she didn’t want the ball.

Inevitably someone is gonna accuse me of hating on Angel even though I’ve also gushed about her when she’s deserved it throughout the series, but it’s just what happened. She looked like a player who was trying very hard not to get blocked by Kiah, even a couple times when Kiah was on the bench.

Typically a more perimeter-oriented jump shooting team but pretty sure in the Finals they’ve had more points in the paint than ATL throughout the series and yet they’re still almost getting doubled up in free throws. When the whistles are even like game 1 and game 6, Valks win.
