OMG what did I just see here. This is an NPTEL session on pedagogy in the times of AI and the dude just lost it? Looks like he went through 5 stages of grief in ten minutes flat… The vibe in several countries outside the US has felt qualitatively different than it is here.

Hahahhaha. I prefer this to pretending capabilities aren’t wild atm or, worse, not even knowing where capabilities are. No? Maybe things are better stateside where people are cognizant and also just closer to the action.

I do think he's wrong in thinking "keeping up with AI is a full-time job". It can *become* one, but I think then you just thrash around in the swamp. You want to keep an eye open, but also spend most of your time just hunkering down and getting things done. Otherwise you end up in AI psychosis.

I was told to just hit “accept all” instead of using tab complete. More than happy to do that after a long day, but seeing (what at the time felt like) an insane project visualising space debris with real data etc. materialise while getting drunk on beer in 90 mins… it was jarring to say the least.
