Brad Karp in a firm-wide email to Paul Weiss employees today: “We will continue our proud, century-long legacy of courageously standing up for fundamental rights and liberties…That commitment is woven into our DNA; it was and will never be subject to negotiation or compromise.” Oh, the irony.

Yes. We were there today to tell them that they are cowards #PaulWeiss #BigLaw #RuleOfLaw #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw bsky.app/profile/rise...

After our weekly protest at Fox, we paid a little visit to the compliant cowards at Paul, Weiss. They are lapdogs, not lawyers. It’s time for every law firm, every university, and every member of the press to stand up to authoritarian bullies. #PaulWeiss

This is the most sniveling, abject cowardice in the Olympics of capitulation so far. Citing a bunch of bullshit that boils down to "he won the moment he published the EO, so to keep our money we agreed to publicly fellate him for 4 yrs, which is very ethical and principled of us. Please clap."

Not sure how it could possibly have been worse. Blamed clients and professional colleagues and left the several obvious and massive issues with capitulation completely unaddressed. I’m embarrassed on behalf of anyone who is at that firm

🙄 umm “We were hopeful that the legal industry would rally to our side, even though it had not done so in response to executive orders targeting other firms.”

Brad, the point isn’t whether you would have done this stuff anyway. It’s that you were extorted into it. And you’re proud that you now have a good relationship with Trump? Maybe you saved the firm from an existential threat but only by strengthening such a threat against our democracy. Thanks.

LOL, “But it is not particularly constructive for any of us involved to debate factual discrepancies.” Like the clear factual discrepancy between the administration’s description of the deal and the spin offered by Paul Weiss? Interesting that they don’t deny smearing Pomerantz.

Gotta love how they blame the media for misinformation, rather than the administration itself. Trump announced they had agreed to end DEI, would spend 40 million furthering admin objectives, and admitted wrongdoing on the part of Pomerantz. They aren’t saying any of that is untrue.
