it's kinda crazy to me how incredibly stupidly underrated the game "Treadnauts" is. been playing it for years and it always surprises me to see so little people know it. barely any videos about it, not even an upload of the soundtrack to youtube. the itch page has one single comment

it's such a beautiful and well made game. every little bit of it is charming and polished and wonderful!!! it never got the big community it deserved :(

as far as i know, that's the last thing Topstitch games made... maybe it wasn't as successful as they had hoped ;~; i wish they were still around because they clearly had a ton of talent! i hope members of that team are part of other teams now making cool new stuff...

okay somehow i didn't see this on their steam page, but i just found that APPARENTLY they made a game in 2025 that's.......... complete AI slop??? steam lists this under the publisher Topstitch Games?????? WHAT HAPPENED?????????? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

i refused to believe this was real, i had to believe that somehow someone tricked steam into getting their game labeled using the same publisher or smth since treadnauts was abandoned. but no i've checked the treadnauts discord server and this is 100% real.... gah this makes me so incredibly sad....
