This is your reminder that there's no such thing as a perfect candidate and while complaining is totally valid, harm reduction is incredibly important and you should still vote! ❤️❤️❤️

At this time, COMPLAINING IS **NOT** VALID! When you're under attack by an enemy destroying all that you hold dear, complaining about your side, those you desperately need to help defeat the enemy, is not valid! Everyone not republican, for now needs to STFU & NOT whine about Democrats.

Vote, get the least-worst candidate into office, and then make your voice as a constituent heard. Annoy the heck out of them until they realize they’ll get fired in 2-6 years if they don’t shape up.

Most of my American friends will die before those 2-6 years are done, if the people you plan to fire get into power first. And yes, the risk of death is similar when the Republicans stay in power. But you should not ask us to vote for genocide. That's not the right thing to do.

Tell us again how Dems will REDUCE harm? Not different harm, not a different rate of more harm, but actual reduction in harm? I’ll wait. In the meantime, the Dems increase ICE funding every year, throw marginalized communities under the bus, and support gword. Oh, as long as it’s not you it’s okay

While I agree, I think that if they can't even be the easy choice by now, they never will. I don't see how we can trust democrats to remain in charge if they don't secure democracy this time. This is their last shot.

I won’t give money to someone if they don’t support my values, and I won’t vote for them in a primary. But the fact that a non-leadership Democrat half a continent away is saying something bad shouldn’t affect your vote.

Literally as far from a definition of centrist as it can be, Adam. It’s very typical extreme end of spectrum behaviour, from Bernie bros and Steiner stans through to many greens…

Really, do you believe your protest vote against the Democratic candidate helps? You would rather have a Republiklan in charge than a Democrat that could be convinced to see your side of the argument?

Prove to me that the Democrat in question could be convinced, and I’ll vote for them. If they use bigoted rhetoric and Republican frameworking, it’s a clear sign that they are willing to change as much as the Republican.

You can't "prove" whats going on in someone's head, you just primary them if they don't get it right. And if you have a candidate like AES or AOC, you show up and show out.

And what if the Democrat in question only makes their bigotry known after the primary has already finished? That’s what is happening with quite a few of them. Of course the Dems who aren’t for removing trans people’s civil rights should be voted for.

Really Don, people should vote for candidates who are running ads saying that they don’t deserve equality, don’t deserve healthcare, don’t deserve Medicare? Go fuck yourself Don.

Every democrat that gets elected gets us closer to controlling the agenda. And it also affects the balance of power inside the committees that make our laws. So even if your democrat isn’t 100% perfect - they’re one step closer to a time when our candidates are 100% perfect.

Actively campaigning on taking away rights is not going closer to perfect—it’s going away from it. Keep in mind that Harris promised to be even worse on the border than Trump’s first term, and she lost.

Harris lost because… Is a very long conversation. But I paid pretty close attention - don’t recall hearing her say she’d be “even worse on the border than trump.” She did say that she wasn’t going to vary much from Biden’s agenda - and everyone says Biden allowed open borders… hard to be both.

So red and blue states are the same? Is that why trans people are moving to my deep blue city in a deep blue state in unprecedented numbers seeking refuge from red states?

Have seen people on here purity testing our best allies like AOC, El-Sayed, Mamdani, and Omar. Not sure how many of them are real people but there will always be some who simply can't pull themselves out of that mindset no matter who is involved.
