How easy is it to build a bot for bluesky? Has anyone done it and got any advice or blog posts about the process?

docs.bsky.appBots | BlueskyBots are accounts on the network that post automatically. Popular ones include bots that post the magnitude of recent earthquakes, photos from an archive on a regular schedule, etc.

Yeah I've seen this but I'm more curious about what others have experienced, what they've built, have they written about any of that process, etc

Not exactly a bot per se. But I put together @hot.hn to repost hacker news articles. It only posts, never responds, and runs on a cron schedule in GitHub actions. That said, it's pretty amazing how simple authentication and posting is

Oh that's really cool that it's on a cron in GHA! I like that a lot. Will definitely a take a close look at that 👀

Yeah, free to run and no server upkeep/admin 😁 i guess theoretically you could have the bot come alive on a cron schedule, check replies, and respond etc. if it didn't need to be real time.
