Appreciate a person who helped to make the internet a positive place for knowledge accessable to all.

I have gotten books from them since the time I used dial up internet. My first ebook reading on a cell phone was Pride and Prejudice in a Nokia 5080, converted from their file. Thank you, Mr Newby! You have done a wonderful job!

Thank you, Greg.

Thanks to making ebooks a thing :)

Gutenberg is a legendary resource that so many of us have used. People with Greg's passion are rare but give back so much benefit to society. Its a blow to us all when we lose someone like this.

Rest in Peace 🕊️

Thank you Greg for all you've done. May Greg's family have peace in this challenging time.

💔😢😔🕯️

May the knowledge you shared resonate with your soul, as peace, light and love!💐

Sad news indeed.

Sounds like we lost a crusader for learning. I am sure he affected many. We are still fighting for knowledge to be free & accessible. Things just got a little tougher is all.

I will miss saying hi to Greg (and his various suits) at HOPE, a deeply thoughtful and kind person.

Project Gutenberg remains one of the greatest things the Internet ever produced.

One of my favourite literary websites ! Condolences to the Newby Family 🙏

Oh no! 💔

Thank you!

Oh no. why is 2025 so cruel? Rest in peace.

Quite the legacy! RIP
