You know what’s fun? Having family help me buy a home, they state on my behalf a budget (which they help with) Yet my wishes apparently get fully ignored and at every turn they gotta be difficult… every time I find something nice they gotta nitpick, but they find a financial sinkhole it’s “buy it”

we find a good home with an asking price below said budget that includes everything I want and is ready to step into, they want me to haggle the price “because it’s not good enough” Yet they wanted me to buy a different apartment with LESS amenities, MORE after-sale costs and a HIGHER asking price

A 199k renovated apartment with a garage box, fiber internet and a monthly cost of 150? “Too pricey for its worth”… A 220k apartment that has to have its electricy redone, monthly cost of 800 and no internet access? “I don’t understand why you don’t like it, I’d have bought on the spot”

MAYBE I’m not buying it because I see I will be living of plain bread for the next decade if I buy the ones you like!!! Ever thought about that? You want me to be responsible with money yet you suggest financial sinkholes!!! I swear, I’m already regretting asking for advice on buying my first home…
