Good summation. One core issue remains there are players better suited to our style than Eze and VG14 (latter had a decent enough cameo yesterday). Another is Rice/Bruno and Konsa/Gabriel are still both a work in progress. Even then, I wonder if this is just par for the course now cos we’re so good.

Put differently, between Tzolis’ absence/newness; Eze/VG14; new relationships in key parts of the pitch, don’t think there’s any cause for concern even if it often won’t be pretty (hopefully Wednesday will be a good marker of what we’re like when the opponent doesn’t just sit in)

Yeah, it's a known issue by now - but so is the desire to do something about it both realised (Bruno G) and aspired to (Vini Jr, Rogers etc.). We'll get there eventually : )

Additional 'two things can be true' to your ones - buying forwards is insanely difficult in the current market (look at the money spent on a very average Liam Delap) and we haven't done enough there. Notable that the comfortable games this season are the ones we've scored early in. Would be nice!

Yeah, that's fair! I understand it's not easy, but forward line recruitment is a bit 6 or 7/10 under Mikel, where as defence and midfield has some 10/10 shit going on!

Also think when you have finite resources (compared to some) you have to prioritise other positions unless you want to do all your budget on forwards, who are usually insanely expensive at the top end.

We have the best defence in the league with the best keeper. But we have an awful front three. Have we actually got an attacking coach at the club? The summer window without buying a centre forward will kill us. And you just Arteta wont buy a striker in January

Eze is not a LW we all know that but Arteta keeps playing him there and when it doesn't work the fans blame Eze and not the manager. Eze is better player than Noni but needs to play as a no10 .Another game we got out of jail those Forest chances at the end could have punished us for our sloppiness
