Perfect is the enemy of the good. I'm sure a lot of you have heard this but what does it mean? If you stop yourself doing something because you think it will be imperfect you are robbing yourself of experience which is worth more than anything. Cont'd

You don't have to post everything you make! That's a big mistake I see people thinking just because they see WIP or otherwise unfinished works by other artists. What you should be doing is be self critical but in a positive way. Why doesn't some element of your drawing work? Figure it out cont'd

I have... so many unfinished sketches and WIPs in my files, lol. Sometimes I finish them! Sometimes I finish them... years later!

Seeking perfection is natural but what are the parameters? Define them! Work on those things you see as deficiencies until you are happy with them. Art is a neverending cycle of self development. And yes you will get bored and move on to learn new styles and techniques that require starting over.

Finally seeking satisfaction should be more about the process than the result. I have way more fun making something than looking at it after, certainly you can feel a lot of things about the results but was the making of enjoyable? Was it a struggle? Did you FEEL something? Important questions!
