AFAIK, this is the only means of pulling Global Upgrade Certs (that I have access to), so it's generally high-value, but I don't do enough non-work travel for that to really make sense (I've wasted them in the past).

I do non-work travel and have tried to use my RUCs on every trip this year and have been waitlisted every single time. They are all going to expire without being used, and not for lack of trying. Never again

Yeahhhhhhh, that sucks. 🫂 This page describes most of the magic in the upgrade clearance list (which I haven't fully read through), but out of a hub there are probably enough Medallion+++ to beat out RUCs every time. www.delta.com/us/en/skymil...

MQD acceleration can be useful, but just take note of the year they apply to. Gifting status can also be super useful if you're feeling generous!
