I wish GitHub pull requests could automatically exclude or remove entire directories of files when merging them - this would make software factories a lot easier with intermediate artifacts on a branch that get discarded later

No, I want those intermediate artifacts to be committed in git on the branch, but those should be discarded only when the PR is merged. It would contain lots of markdown files for an AI agent, logs, transcripts, progress, but also screenshots or videos for validation
