Road trip funnies, trying to figure out which pump no. I’m on. It’s either 1, 2, 3, or 13

This was a weird dream logic type road stop. It had a tiny diner with worn wooden floors, closing for the day. The corridor to the bathrooms was literally half size and the bathroom was painted in my favourite purple.

I tried to fill the car with petrol/gas but it only went to $40, shrugged and went inside. Used the bathroom and went to pay. The cashier says it’s already paid … she didn’t know how and neither did I. We paid for an additional $40. Out that in and drove out.

As we’re pulling away I see the waitress from inside knocking off her shift like it was over when we left. I kept driving down the road and tried not to look back in the mirror.
