This is catastrophic stuff. Nobody will trust a country that allowed this to happen, twice. Unless some deep reform will happen, US won't be trusted anymore.

And it does matter if the next administration goes back to the pre Dozy Don posture with allies and trading partners. Other countries will never trusts US voters to not vote in another tRump-like administration sometime in the future….

Trump is proving beyond all reasonable doubt to the world the United States cannot be trusted.

We will never recover from his reign of idiocy without a national divorce. Let the south and Midwest turn into the third world theocracy they so badly want and the coasts will thrive as the most advanced economy in the world.

Or we'll have all the worst "friends."

If you were to support China gaining geostrategic dominance, would you do anything differently from Trump?

Since national interests (let alone personal whims) never align perfectly. This is a recipe for alienating friends and allies. They can't keep him happy, so they will (like Canadians) eventually stop trying.
