this is people looking at a branding change for a mobile wrapper app that happened a year ago, incorporating a branding change that happened in 2022, both of which affect them so little that they didn't notice them until now and thinking that it's some huge thing because outrage gets clicks

in 2022 they rebranded to M365; last year they renamed a mobile wrapper app that virtually nobody knows about (you can tell, because virtually nobody said anything when they rebranded it)

you can also tell, because the people confidently asserting that 'Microsoft changed the name of Office to Copilot' don't know what the mobile Office app now known as Copilot actually *is* but hey, when did we let facts matter when there's outrage to use for venting (I understand we all need to vent)
