Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.

How can they do this with only an "administrative warrant"--i.e., a "warrant" they signed themselves, without a judge's okay?

So much in the PATRIOT Act like that. No-fly list. Warrants that prohibit telling the subject their records have been turned over. GWB also initiated "signing statements" announcing intent to ignore legislation; secret policy; religious liaison; and kissy-kissy with the Heritage Foundation.

The once strongest empire in the world is shaking down 67 year old guys and murdering their own citizens in the streets because the nation is being embarrassed by average people. They're weak. They're cowardly. And they're going to lose.
