I have no doubt that Act Blue shares phone numbers with a ton of Dems running for office. In the past I’ve donated to Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock and a few others. There’s no other way these campaigns would have my cell phone number. The constant text messages are a result of Act Blue sharing info.

Campaigns do and we get asked for our lists constantly. And firms buy them from sites and stores and other data brokers. A number I only used at gas stations is getting political texts, and it’s very obvious to me who sold it. 🤬

I get emails from your campaign and I’m totally fine with that. The texts and phone calls are over the top. When a store asks me “whats a good number for you?” I tell them I don’t give it out.

I’m doing the same. I ha vent texted this campaign because I don’t want to be obnoxious, and emails at least aren’t terribly intrusive. Still a ridiculous amount tho.

totally agree ... i've tried to contact them, to let them know it is intrusive, annoying, and not productive ... their response is _________ and has driven me to block them

I contacted them too. They denied giving out phone numbers. I know they’re lying.

There are companies who compile lists and sell them. When you donate to a campaign that becomes public information, the list sellers fill in any gaps in contact info.
