New BAS research has shown for the first time that stranded odontocetes (toothed whales and dolphins) can be detected and counted from space. And radar satellites – which use microwave radiation rather than visible light – can do this through cloud, day or night. 🛰️ 🔗 Full paper: bit.ly/4y00qtY
