Try a year lol

Having it on a handheld is nice (CachyOS/Ally X) - Has some quirks but nothing too outrageous. Haven't been brave enough to put it on the main pc, though, really tempted to get a Best Buy prebuilt (9800x3d/9070xt) and chuck it on there.

Waiting for SteamOS to get a newer release with the Steam Machine drop to jump out of Windows

It's a good idea on paper, but actually doing it and the FFS amount of troubleshooting kills it.

It takes a bit of getting used to, but NixOS has advantages for desktop use

Its neat, but not good for my use case. Plus taking backups manages this problem quite well.

The doing as I say in question: "The following packages will be REMOVED: linux-base linux-headers..."
