Welcome (me) back to warfrimz, I guess :o

Uh, all as one.

idk when blue emet-selch shows up but have fun with blue emet-selch when he does

I think this _is_ blue Emet-Selch, but at least there was a legit reason Emet-Selch was Emet-Selch >_>;;;

he's voiced by the same guy so it will be obvious lol

(the reason blue emet-selch is emet-selch is the game director (? i think) is an emet-selch megafan)

Ooooooh. I don’t think I’ve actually heard not-blue emet-selch in english😅😅😅

what, for real??? he's the standout performance of shadowbringers. if you only ever tried the english voices in ARR it's really worth checking out the english cast now, they're all like english theater actors, it's a completely different vibe.

I’ve heard it got waaaaaaaay better, but as I’m still trying to get two omnis (very slowly), it might be a bit before I switch back😅😅😂

yeah they were super unhappy with the anime-style voice direction in ARR so they switched to a completely different studio in the UK. during base dawntrail they used the american office of that studio for the american actors and the direction was a lot rougher, but in the patches --

they clearly had some sort of come to jesus "if we had wanted anime-style we would have gone to an anime studio we use you specifically for theater-style" talk and it's improved

they switched in HW, i should say. i think the actors took a little bit to find their footing with the sort of very different project it is, but shadowbringers is 100% where everyone hits their stride and emet-selch in particular is the really really standout performance.

Yeah, no, it gets a lot better than that. To give you an idea, they got Jonathan Bailey for the Crystal Exarch and Joanna Roth for Venat. Very, very different vibes.
