There's no doubt that @aoc.bsky.social has changed the trajectory of American politics. Grateful to have her with us on the ground across Michigan to strengthen our movement to get money out of politics, put money in pockets, and pass Medicare for All.

Medicare for All is not what most people want. It is what most people have been convinced it is what they want. If we get it, it will be better than what we have. What we *really* want is; Single Payer National Healthcare that is 100% comprehensive. (vision, hearing, dental included)

In Canada we have Universal and by no means is everything free but what it does mean we have it there when we need it and major issues are covered It’s not the best system ( mostly because world politics play into everything these days) but we make it work Our taxes make the payments

I agree, but Medicare for All are words people understand. Whether we manage to extend it to everyone or not, Medicare should be changed to be a) comprehensive, and b) affordable for all.

True as written. But Medicare for all would be a huge leap in the right direction. I felt the ACÁ was grossly inadequate. But as my colleague wisely said, let Obama get something on the books, and they won’t be able to take it completely away. Small steps are better than none.

Exactly!! Only Part A Medicare is free. All the other parts cost and have expensive co-pays. Medicaid is free and covers much more, but the assets restriction is severe. All plans have a ton of red tape and restrictions.

Thank you for your post. Posts' that I have been receiving suggest how wrong I am but I followed Bernie closely in '16 and still believe now as then that a National Single Payer 100% comprehensive Healthcare where all health care is free at point of service inc. vision, hearing & dental is best.

Since Reagan changed the law that healthcare is no longer a not for profit entity, the insurance companies have been stealing from us blind. Have you checked out the ridiculously high bonuses the CEO's get at insurance companies? Nope, I disagree with you, Medicare for All is just what we need.

Relax, Marty. After all the Einsteins of this nation abandon our Constitutional Republic form of governance for "democratic socialism" (oxymoron) there will be no one left who can afford private insurance, but you must mean private healthcare. Of course, those in the Politburo will do just fine.

'oxymoron' ... NOT ... Progressive Democratic Socialism are three distinct foundational blocks of a Democracy that is held accountable to its society (the people) and is always working toward progressive ideals of diversity, equality & inclusion. We ARE the cultural melting pot of Earth
