On Monday, October 26, a Moldovan delegation led by the country's prime minister, Vasile Tofan, arrived in Kyiv. The visit resulted in an agreement to deepen defense cooperation. Tofan announced his visit to the Ukrainian capital. "Today I am in Kyiv to reaffirm Moldova's support for our Ukrainian neighbors and friends, and to discuss joint projects in infrastructure, energy, and security," the Moldovan prime minister wrote. He added that Moldova is prepared to serve as a logistical center for Ukraine and as its gateway to Southeastern Europe. According to reports , a key focus of this visit was to strengthen cooperation in defense. The two countries signed a military-technical cooperation agreement. Chișinău specifically aims to learn from Ukraine's extensive experience in countering Russian drone attacks. Tofan noted that Russian drones have crossed into Moldovan territory more than 100 times, and that the threat from Moscow continues to grow. Previously, Russia was reported to have carried out large-scale drone attacks on Moldova.
