uawire.orgEU pledges tougher Russia sanctions despite Trump’s diesel deal with PutinEuropean Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said that Russia killed more than 80 Ukrainians in the span of two days. Kallas, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, was responding to an agreement between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to American and global markets. Writing on social media, Kallas argued that suspending sanctions on diesel supplies would hand Moscow extra revenue to continue its war. She stressed that now is not the time to ease pressure on what she called the aggressive state, and said the EU would not do so. EU foreign ministers are set to approve the largest sanctions package yet against Russia’s military sector since the start of the full-scale invasion, at a meeting scheduled for October 12. According to Kallas, more than 80 Ukrainian civilians have been killed in two days of Russian strikes. She also said Moscow had intensified hybrid attacks against EU and NATO member states. The British government announced yesterday that the United Kingdom plans to keep up pressure on Russia "with the strictest sanctions regime". Media reports said Trump made the call on Russian diesel supplies after Ukraine’s president ignored appeals to halt strikes on Russian oil refineries. Meanwhile, three Democratic senators criticized Trump’s decision to allow Russian diesel fuel imports.

With the Russian asset Trump at the helm the U.S. can’t be trusted. Let’s hope what we all see in the polling for the midterms is correct and we have more responsible people elected to Congress who can keep him in check. What Trump is doing is unforgivable whether you are a Republican or Democrat.

A trillionaire private citizen cut the U.S. military satellite over Ukraine. No one voted for him to hold that switch. Now the same money is pouring into Texas. Don’t surrender Texas to him. A TRILLIONAIRE DID THIS CUT THE SATELLITE. DON’T SURRENDER TEXAS TO HIM #USDemocracy iwillvote.org #USA

Why did they remove sanctions from 2 ruzzian oligarchs last weekish? Why did Macron et al lobby for that? Honest question. The answer is $$, prove me wrong. EU not smelling good.

Trump, the great wheeler-dealer, is about to receive a whopping 300,000 tons of diesel fuel from his friend Putin—enough to last just 14 days. To get it, he has even betrayed Ukraine and Europe. The catch? It’s diluted, poor-quality diesel that will destroy the engines of thousands of American cars.

For more than four years now, the EU has been steadily ratcheting up sanctions against Russia. Why does this happen bit by bit? Why not go all in, all at once? Wouldn't a short, sharp shock be more effective than this slow death by a thousand cuts?

Can't wait for EU and UK intercepting sanctioned tankers heading to the USA. Not striking them like USA would do without checking who is on board. But intercept and then sell the oil a 2nd time to Trump to fund weapons for Ukraine

The only reason why Trump cut that deal with Russia for the diesel fuel is because he is desperate to stay in office and spare the Republicans from getting routed at the ballot box. The diesel is not even from them but from Iran, who we are at war with. This whole fiasco is disgraceful.

I don't understand how sanctions can keep getting pulled out the back. If the war is illegal, immoral, unjust and everyone wants it to end, every single possible sanction should've been enacted more than four fucking years ago.

Europe is right to push for tougher sanctions. You can’t talk about peace while Russia continues killing Ukrainians and make deals that risk undermining that pressure. Ukraine’s lives and freedom aren’t bargaining chips. We need consistency, consequences, and real accountability.

Europe needs to buy as much diesel on the open market as they can for the next two weeks. Bid up the price and sell it to their population at a discount. After the US midterm election where Trump's party gets wiped out they can let the price drop again. That would help defeat Putin's US Puppet.

It’s concerning how the war continues to affect so many innocent lives. I hope diplomatic efforts can help bring about a lasting peace.

Historically, Europe has been a beacon of democracy. The USA under Trump is Nazi Germany. We support evil tyrants. This Saturday I will drag my 77 year old butt out to a NO Kings demonstration. Every American Patriot should make a sign and wave it for a couple of hours and Save America!

The dead are courtesy of trump, musk, & hagsbreath. To the Hague for them and those that carried out the orders. Treason and war crimes.
