I used to ride roughly 4,000mi (6,400km) annually before my son was born. I’ll be lucky if I clock a quarter of that this year. I don’t know how this man can actually bike this much in a year, but it is consistent with all the absentee councillor complaints from his Beaches–East York constituents.

"Look, nobody rides more bikes than I do. I rode 10,000 kilometres last year," brags Bradford. He says he's "the only candidate that has a plan to build new cycling infrastructure — we're just going to do it in our ravine network."

I'm extremely skeptical of his claimed output as well. Also, I can't stress enough how much of a shitty person you need to be to identify as an "elitist cyclist" and not advocate for easier access to cycling for literally everyone else.

I’m like one tier under “career level courier” in how comfortable I am squeezing through traffic and navigating nonsense and I always say “we need more wide bike lanes full of newbs on citi bikes and out of shape people on pedal assist bikes… stat.” To be elitist is to be stupid.

I don’t think he claims to be elite, but reupping (Shelly Mossey, owner of The Bike Shop on Court did file an affidavit with the court against that lane, saying he’s ridden for decades without injury and that’s why it’s unnecessary. He also thinks Citibike hurt his business) bsky.app/profile/benj...

Troy is now lobbying the failed opponents of the Court Street bike lane for support, the same ones who are still trying to raise money for an almost certainly doomed legal Hail Mary. The man is a traitor to everyone else who rides a bike in this city, plain and simple. bsky.app/profile/benj...
