This paragraph resonates with my experience. I try to keep an open mind, but it's difficult because one side has strong incentives to hype and lie, and the other side hasn't always been willing to update given the empirical evidence, e.g., Claude code has changed how programmers work.

Claude Code has unfortunately changed how SOME programmers work; many still find it worse than useless for what they actually need to do/make. And, it is still based on mass theft and raises huge concerns on numerous lega, ethical, and practical levels.

I feel sometimes that set of statements of fact gets seen as somehow "rejecting empirical evidence," is why I say it specifically.
