Situation: You have a separate QA team or SDET embedded with your team. When should QA / SDET test a new feature? 3 options: 1. Before merge, in an ephemeral environment, or by pairing with dev 2. After merge in QA/UAT/staging environment 3. In prod My take? Prefer 1. 1/2

Before merge of course, so that bugs can be detected and fixed before merging. I imagine it'd be a bit frustrating to merge the PR first then having to make another PR only to fix small typos found during QA The QA env can be made to use any branch, whereas only main branch makes to production
