25k a month to run a site like FA is bonkers, even more so when you consider over half of that goes to the mods running it?! There is no way any of that is sustainable in the long term. Their GFM is 138k now, 3 months debt they had is gone with additional 2 month runway now. Then what?

Without changing how they do anything or actually improving the site to be more efficient that amount needed will only grow with inflation. When the money runs out in March 2027 are you all willing to do this again? Because that is what's gonna happen.

I really do think they need to look into streamlining the site but with the help being whoever volunteers instead of having the ability to hire someone incredibly seasoned… It’s up to whatever help they can get.

I’d imagine FA being as old as it is is a big factor to the expenses. Maybe they need to have more voluteers? But idk, I’ve thrown my hat in multiple times and I haven’t even heard a reply back so I stopped bothering.

It would really suck to lose FA. I reccomend it to even human nsfw artists when they ask me Or, they may need to “phoenix” the site itself and/or properly purge old, dead accounts.
